Description

These Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars are a delicious and easy no-bake treat combining crunchy Cheerios with smooth peanut butter and honey. Perfect as a quick snack or a lunchbox favorite, these bars require minimal ingredients and come together rapidly with no oven needed.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cheerios
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a microwave-safe glass bowl, add the peanut butter, honey, and vanilla bean paste if using. Microwave for 1 minute to soften and combine the ingredients.
  2. Mix Together: Whisk the warmed mixture until smooth and well blended. Then add the Cheerios and gently stir to coat all the cereal evenly with the peanut butter and honey mixture.
  3. Press Into Pan: Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment or wax paper. Transfer the mixture into the pan and use a spatula or clean hands to press it down firmly and evenly.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the pan for 1-2 hours to let the bars set firmly. This step helps the bars hold their shape and makes them easier to cut.
  5. Cut and Serve: Remove the set mixture from the pan using the lining paper. Cut into 9 bars (or smaller pieces for kids or serving variety) and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute vanilla bean paste with vanilla extract if unavailable.
  • For a nut-free version, swap peanut butter with sunflower seed butter.
  • Make sure to press the mixture firmly to prevent bars from falling apart.
  • Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • These bars are great for a quick energy boost or lunchbox snack.
