Ingredients
Hummus Base
- 2 cans Chick Peas (15 ounces each)
- 1/2 cup Tahini
- 1 Lemon (Juiced)
- 2 Garlic Cloves (Roughly chopped)
Dill Pickle Flavor
- 1/2 cup Chopped Dill Pickles
- 1/4 cup Dill Pickle Juice
- 2 tbsp Fresh Dill
Seasoning
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Drain and Prepare Chickpeas: Open and drain the cans of chickpeas thoroughly. Add the drained chickpeas into your food processor bowl.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Add tahini, chopped dill pickles, dill pickle juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, roughly chopped garlic cloves, and fresh dill into the food processor with the chickpeas.
- Blend to Desired Consistency: Secure the lid on the food processor and blend on high speed for about 1 minute, or until the mixture reaches your preferred creamy consistency. Stop to scrape down the edges as needed.
- Season to Taste: Taste the hummus and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper as desired. Blend briefly again to incorporate the seasoning evenly.
- Serve: Transfer the creamy dill pickle hummus to a serving bowl and garnish with extra chopped dill or dill pickle slices if desired. Enjoy with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
