Description
These Air Fryer Salmon Bites are tender, flavorful, and infused with a zesty lemon garlic butter sauce. Ready in just 20 minutes, they make a perfect quick and healthy appetizer or main dish that’s crispy on the outside and juicy inside.
Ingredients
Salmon Bites
- 1 pound skinless salmon filet, cut into 1-inch cubes
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
Instructions
- Season salmon: Add the cubed salmon to a mixing bowl and season evenly with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Toss gently to coat all pieces thoroughly.
- Add sauce: To the same mixing bowl, add the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Toss the salmon cubes in this lemon garlic butter mixture until well coated.
- Air fry salmon bites: Line the basket of your air fryer with a liner to prevent the sauce from dripping through. Place the salmon bites in the basket in a single layer without crowding; cook in batches if necessary. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes. There is no need to shake or turn the bites halfway through cooking.
- Serve: Remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and serve immediately. They pair well with fresh salads, rice bowls, or steamed vegetables. Drizzle any remaining lemon garlic butter from the bowl on top for added flavor.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Using a basket liner prevents the buttery sauce from leaking through to the bottom of the air fryer.
- Cook salmon bites in two batches if necessary to maintain optimal air circulation.
- Salmon can be substituted with other firm fish fillets cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Adjust seasoning to taste if preferred spicier or less salty.
