Ingredients
Cauliflower Wings
- 28 cauliflower florets (bite-sized, about 1 1/2 inches, approximately 16 ounces)
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- ½ cup all purpose flour or gluten-free flour
- Olive oil spray
Honey Sriracha Sauce
- ¼ cup sriracha
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted (microwaved 15–20 seconds if solid)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Garnish and Dips (Optional)
- Cilantro, for garnish
- Pickled red onions, optional garnish
- Ranch dipping sauce, optional
- Chimichurri sauce, optional
Instructions
- Combine sauce base: In a small bowl, whisk together the sriracha, honey, melted butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and garlic powder until well combined to form the honey sriracha sauce.
- Make cauliflower coating: Place the beaten eggs in one bowl and all-purpose flour in another. Dip each cauliflower floret first into the eggs, then into the flour, ensuring an even coat. Shake off any excess flour and place the coated florets onto a work surface. Spray both sides lightly with olive oil spray to help crisp in the air fryer.
- Air fry cauliflower wings: Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Arrange the coated cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, turning halfway through, until the cauliflower wings are golden brown and tender. Repeat the process with any remaining cauliflower. After cooking all batches, return all the cauliflower to the air fryer for an additional 1 minute to reheat and crisp together.
- Coat cauliflower with sauce: Immediately transfer the hot air-fried cauliflower to a large bowl. Pour the prepared honey sriracha sauce over and toss gently but thoroughly to evenly coat each wing with the sauce.
- Serve and garnish: Arrange the cauliflower wings on a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro and pickled red onions if using. Serve warm with optional ranch dipping sauce and chimichurri on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Use gluten-free flour to make this dish gluten-free.
- Adjust the amount of honey and sriracha to tweak the sweetness and spiciness according to your preference.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these in a 425°F oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Ensure cauliflower florets are bite-sized for even cooking and easy dipping.
- Spraying with olive oil helps achieve a crispy texture in the air fryer.
- Serve immediately for best texture; leftovers can be warmed in the air fryer to regain crispiness.
