Description

A refreshing and creamy Vanilla Iced Latte made with homemade vanilla syrup, rich espresso, and milk of your choice. Perfect for a quick, delicious iced coffee treat in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Vanilla Syrup

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tablespoon vanilla bean paste

Vanilla Iced Latte

  • 3 ounces espresso (2 shots) or ½ cup strong coffee
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 4-6 ounces milk of choice (adjust to taste)
  • Ice, as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vanilla Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla bean paste. Let the syrup cool or use immediately; store any leftovers in a jar in the refrigerator.
  2. Brew the Coffee: Brew 3 ounces of espresso (about 2 shots) or prepare ½ cup of strong coffee using your preferred method. Alternatively, cold brew concentrate can be used for a smoother flavor.
  3. Assemble the Iced Latte: Pour the freshly brewed espresso or coffee into a drinking glass. Add 2 tablespoons of the prepared vanilla syrup (adjusting to your sweetness preference) and stir well. Fill the glass with ice cubes to your liking.
  4. Add Milk and Serve: Top the iced coffee mixture with 4 to 6 ounces of your choice of milk, such as dairy, almond, oat, or soy milk. Stir gently to combine all the flavors and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the vanilla syrup quantity to suit your desired sweetness.
  • Milk choice can be dairy or plant-based depending on preference or dietary needs.
  • Vanilla bean paste provides a richer flavor than extract, but vanilla extract can be substituted if needed.
  • Syrup can be stored refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
