Description

A rich and creamy Matcha Marble Mousse with a crunchy Oreo crust, featuring a stunning marble effect of matcha and yogurt cream, creating a visually striking and delicious dessert perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

100 g Oreo biscuits (crushed)

50 g unsalted butter (melted)

110 g milk (warm)

60 g granulated sugar

10 g matcha powder

50 g milk (warm)

10 g gelatin sheets (softened)

200 g yogurt

200 g whipping cream

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the crushed Oreo biscuits with the melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  2. Wrap the bottom of a 6-inch mousse mold with plastic wrap. Pour the Oreo mixture into the mold and press it down firmly to create a flat base. Place it in the fridge to chill and set.
  3. In a clean bowl, whisk the matcha powder with 50g of warm milk until smooth. Sift the mixture to remove any clumps.
  4. Soften the gelatin sheets in ice water.
  5. In a saucepan, heat 110g of milk over low heat until it reaches about 50°C (122°F). Add the softened gelatin sheets and whisk until fully dissolved. Stir in the granulated sugar and mix well.
  6. Beat the whipping cream in a separate bowl until thickened and stiff peaks form.
  7. Add the yogurt to the gelatin milk mixture and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  8. Pour half of the yogurt mixture into the matcha milk and mix gently. Pour the matcha mixture back into the remaining yogurt mixture and stir gently twice to create a beautiful marble effect.
  9. Remove the mousse mold from the fridge. Carefully pour the marble mousse mixture into the mold, covering the Oreo crust. Smooth the surface with a spatula.
  10. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully chilled and firm.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute plant-based yogurt, dairy-free whipped cream, and use agar-agar instead of gelatin.
  • Change the matcha flavor to strawberry puree, chocolate, or coffee for a unique twist.
  • For a different crust, use graham crackers or digestive biscuits.
