These Homemade Bagel Chips are savory, crunchy, and buttery – the perfect easy snack or appetizer. Made with sliced bagels and a flavorful herb butter, they pair perfectly with a simple cream cheese dip or your favorite spread.
Ingredients
- Bagel Chips:
- 2 to 3 bagels, cut into 1/8-inch thick rounds
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary (or 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary)
- 1½ teaspoons sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Cream Cheese Dip (Optional):
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 6 pickles, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice bagels into 1/8-inch thick rounds.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, rosemary, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Brush both sides of each bagel slice with the butter mixture and place them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Let cool on the baking sheet.
- While chips are baking, prepare the dip: Mix cream cheese, chopped pickles, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt in a bowl until smooth.
- Serve the cooled bagel chips with the cream cheese dip or your favorite alternative dip.
Notes
- You can use any neutral-flavored bagel such as plain, egg, or sesame seed.
