Description

This Greek Yogurt Pizza Dough recipe is a quick and easy way to make a healthy, homemade pizza crust using simple ingredients. The dough is soft and tender with a slight tang from the yogurt, perfect for a variety of toppings. Ideal for a quick weeknight meal, it requires no yeast and minimal rising time, baking up crisp and delicious in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour (divided)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (any fat %)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure it’s hot enough for a crispy crust once the pizza is baked.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups of the flour, baking powder, and salt by whisking them together to evenly distribute the leavening agent and seasoning.
  3. Add Yogurt and Form Dough: Add the Greek yogurt to the dry mixture and stir with a spatula until just combined. Then use your hands to mix and knead the dough roughly 20 times until a cohesive ball forms.
  4. Knead with Remaining Flour: Lightly flour your counter with the remaining 1/4 cup flour and transfer the dough to it. Knead the dough until all the flour is fully absorbed and the dough is no longer sticky to the touch.
  5. Roll Out Dough: Roll the dough into your desired pizza crust thickness. Transfer it to a lightly floured baking sheet or pizza stone to prepare for toppings.
  6. Add Toppings: Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, then add your favorite pizza toppings and cheese as desired.
  7. Bake Pizza: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust turns golden and cooked through.
  8. Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven, cut into 8 slices, and enjoy your homemade Greek yogurt pizza!

Notes

  • This dough can be made with all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour for dietary preferences.
  • You can use any fat percentage of Greek yogurt, but full-fat yogurt will yield a richer flavor.
  • Be careful not to add too much flour while kneading; the dough should be soft but not sticky.
  • Feel free to customize toppings according to your preference, including vegetarian or meat options.
  • Use a pizza stone for a crispier crust, or a baking sheet for convenience.
  • Store leftover dough wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
