Description

Garlic Parmesan Beef Pasta is a quick and flavorful dish that combines tender ground beef, rotini pasta, and a creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Ready in just 30 minutes, this comforting meal is perfect for busy weeknights and features a rich, cheesy sauce infused with garlic and Italian herbs.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 10 ounces dried rotini pasta (2.5 cups – measured before cooking)

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Sauce

  • ½ cup beef broth (can use low or no sodium)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Garnish

  • 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (optional, can use dried)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 10 ounces of dried rotini pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside while preparing the beef and sauce.
  2. Brown the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 pound ground beef, ½ cup finely chopped onion, and 4 minced garlic cloves. Season with 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and ½ teaspoon onion powder. Cook, stirring and crumbling the beef, until it is no longer pink. Drain any excess grease if necessary, then return the beef mixture to the skillet.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: To the skillet with the cooked beef, pour in ½ cup beef broth, 2 cups heavy cream, 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Stir well and simmer for 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly while stirring occasionally.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked rotini pasta directly to the skillet with the beef and creamy sauce. Stir until the pasta is thoroughly coated and everything is evenly combined.
  5. Adjust Seasoning and Garnish: Taste the dish and add more salt or pepper if needed. Optionally stir in 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley. When serving, sprinkle the remaining parsley on top for a fresh, vibrant finish. Enjoy your creamy Garlic Parmesan Beef Pasta!

Notes

  • Use low or no sodium beef broth for a heart-healthier option.
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese provides a better flavor and texture than pre-grated versions.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, allow it to simmer a bit longer before adding the pasta.
  • Feel free to substitute rotini with penne, fusilli, or your favorite pasta shape.
  • For a lighter version, you can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
  • Adding fresh parsley not only enhances flavor but also adds a nice color contrast.
