Pasta and Garnish
- 10 ounces dry pasta, cooked and drained
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Red pepper flakes, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inside of the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Add Chicken: Place the boneless skinless chicken breasts evenly at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Pour Sauce: Pour the entire bottle of Parmesan garlic sauce over the chicken breasts, coating them thoroughly.
- Add Cheeses: Scatter pieces of cream cheese and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of the chicken and sauce to create a creamy layer.
- Cook: Cover with the lid and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Shred Chicken: Remove chicken breasts and shred them with two forks, then return shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir well to combine with the sauce.
- Cook Pasta: While the chicken cooks, prepare the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain thoroughly.
- Mix Pasta and Serve: Add the cooked pasta into the crockpot and stir to evenly coat the pasta with the creamy sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes before serving.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, cook on low and leave lid slightly ajar during the last 30 minutes to reduce liquid.
- You can substitute any short pasta like penne or rotini for the recipe.
- To add extra veggies, consider stirring in cooked spinach or mushrooms just before adding the pasta.
- Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for best flavor.
