A creamy and comforting Crockpot Parmesan Garlic Chicken Pasta that combines tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich parmesan garlic sauce with melted cream cheese and parmesan, then tossed with perfectly cooked pasta. This easy slow cooker recipe is perfect for a hands-off dinner that delivers bold flavors and a satisfying meal for the whole family.

Ingredients

Sauce and Chicken

  • 12 ounces Parmesan garlic sauce
  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Pasta and Garnish

  • 10 ounces dry pasta, cooked and drained
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inside of the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Add Chicken: Place the boneless skinless chicken breasts evenly at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Pour Sauce: Pour the entire bottle of Parmesan garlic sauce over the chicken breasts, coating them thoroughly.
  4. Add Cheeses: Scatter pieces of cream cheese and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of the chicken and sauce to create a creamy layer.
  5. Cook: Cover with the lid and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  6. Shred Chicken: Remove chicken breasts and shred them with two forks, then return shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir well to combine with the sauce.
  7. Cook Pasta: While the chicken cooks, prepare the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain thoroughly.
  8. Mix Pasta and Serve: Add the cooked pasta into the crockpot and stir to evenly coat the pasta with the creamy sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, cook on low and leave lid slightly ajar during the last 30 minutes to reduce liquid.
  • You can substitute any short pasta like penne or rotini for the recipe.
  • To add extra veggies, consider stirring in cooked spinach or mushrooms just before adding the pasta.
  • Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for best flavor.
