Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2–3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Place an 8-quart saucepan with a steamer basket and 2 inches of water over high heat. Cover and bring to a boil.
- Add chicken wings to the basket and steam for 10–12 minutes.
- Remove wings and place them on a cooling rack set over a baking sheet. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours to dry out the skin.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake wings for 20 minutes, flip, then bake another 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine olive oil, butter, and salt over low heat until melted. Add minced garlic and cook for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Transfer baked wings to a large bowl. Pour garlic butter mixture over them, then add Parmesan cheese and parsley. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve wings on a platter and sprinkle with additional Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Refrigerating the wings after steaming helps to dry the skin, ensuring maximum crispiness when baked.
- Use fresh grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
- Serve with ranch, blue cheese dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
