Covered Strawberries are a festive and easy no-bake treat made by dipping fresh strawberries in melted chocolate and decorating them into fun Halloween shapes like pumpkins, ghosts, and tombstones. Perfect for parties or themed celebrations, they’re customizable, kid-friendly, and deliciously spooky.
Ingredients
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 oz white chocolate chips
24 large strawberries
A few drops of orange gel food coloring (optional)
Optional decorations: candy eyes, crushed chocolate cookies, gummy worms, etc.
Instructions
- Pumpkins: Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth. Add orange gel food coloring and whisk well. Dip strawberries into orange chocolate and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Once set, pipe additional orange lines to mimic pumpkin ridges.
- Jack-O-Lanterns: After orange-coated strawberries are set, use melted semi-sweet chocolate and a toothpick to draw spooky faces.
- Ghosts: Dip strawberries in melted white chocolate and place on parchment to set. Use melted chocolate to attach candy eyes and draw a mouth.
- Tombstones: Dip strawberries in melted semi-sweet chocolate. Once set, use a piping bag filled with melted white chocolate to write “BOO” or “RIP.”
- Chill strawberries for 15 minutes until chocolate is firm. Serve chilled.
