Ingredients
- For the Pizza Dough:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 (1/4 oz) packet pizza crust yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup very warm water
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- For the Pizza:
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons ketchup, divided
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 2 cups Colby Jack cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup dill pickle chips, drained
- Mustard (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan and set aside.
- Make the Dough: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until well combined. Gradually mix in remaining flour until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 4 minutes, adding more flour as needed until smooth and elastic.
- Press dough into the prepared pizza pan to form the crust.
- Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon water and brush onto the outer edge of the dough. Sprinkle edges with sesame seeds.
- Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with seasoned salt, black pepper, and diced onion until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, 2 1/2 tablespoons ketchup, and hot sauce until smooth. Spread this sauce over the pizza dough.
- Top with cooked beef mixture and sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
- Drizzle remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons ketchup and desired amount of mustard over the pizza. Add dill pickle chips.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the center is bubbly.
- Cool slightly before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Store-bought pizza dough can be used for convenience.
- Customize toppings to your taste—add bacon, tomatoes, or swap cheeses.
- For extra crispiness, bake the crust for a few minutes before adding toppings.
