Description
Bisquick Biscuits are soft, buttery, and golden, made with just four simple ingredients—Bisquick mix, sour cream, Sprite, and butter. This quick and easy shortcut recipe delivers fluffy, tender biscuits in under 30 minutes, perfect for breakfast, dinner, or any meal in between.
Ingredients
2 cups Bisquick
½ cup Sprite (or other lemon-lime soda)
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a medium bowl, stir together Bisquick, Sprite, and sour cream until just combined.
- Lightly flour a countertop with Bisquick. Transfer dough and knead gently, adding a little more Bisquick if needed, until soft and just holding together.
- Pat dough to about ½-inch thick.
- Pour melted butter into a cast-iron skillet or 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Cut biscuits with a biscuit cutter (or small jar top) and place them in the buttered pan.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Do not over-knead the dough to keep biscuits soft and fluffy.
- Diet soda can be used, but regular Sprite gives the best rise and flavor.
- Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream if needed.
- No biscuit cutter? Use a knife, glass, or make drop biscuits instead.
- Add shredded cheese, herbs, or spices for different flavor twists.
