Description

Big Mac Sloppy Joes are a fun twist on the classic sandwich, replacing the traditional tomato-based sauce with tangy, creamy Big Mac sauce. These sloppy joes are packed with flavor, quick to make, and taste even better than the fast food version.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dill relish
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 6 sesame seed buns
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 12 dill pickle chips

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, stirring frequently to break up the meat. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and cracked pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, dill relish, white vinegar, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir until well combined to make the Mac sauce.
  4. Mix 1/2 cup of the Mac sauce into the cooked beef mixture.
  5. To assemble each sandwich, place 1/4 cup of shredded lettuce on the bottom bun, top with a slice of American cheese, and spoon over the beef mixture.
  6. Drizzle additional Mac sauce on top of the meat to taste. Add 3 dill pickle chips and place the top bun.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a traditional Big Mac-style sandwich, use three pieces of bun: two bottoms and one top per sandwich.
  • Leftover Mac sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week and also makes a great dip for fries.
  • You can double the sauce for extra dipping or layering.
