Description

This Air Fryer Apple Crisp is a quick, easy, and healthier dessert made with fresh apples, oats, cinnamon, and maple syrup. The air fryer makes the apple tender and the oat crumble golden brown, creating a sweet and crunchy treat. Serve warm with ice cream for the ultimate indulgence.

Ingredients

1 apple

3 tbsp certified gluten-free oats

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp maple syrup

Coconut oil spray

Instructions

  1. Wash the apple and cut it in half. Remove the core and seeds from both halves.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the oats, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Spray lightly with coconut oil until the mixture sticks together and forms a crumbly texture.
  3. Spray both apple halves with coconut oil and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. Spoon the oat crumble mixture over the top of the apple halves.
  5. Place the apple halves in the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F for 20 minutes, or until the apples are softened and the crumble is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Vegan Option: Use dairy-free ice cream for a vegan-friendly version.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts to the crumble.
  • Sweetener Swap: You can substitute maple syrup with honey or any other sweetener, adjusting the amount to taste.
  • Spiced Apple Crisp: Add a pinch of nutmeg or cloves to the crumble for extra spice.
