Description

These Air Fryer Apple Chips are a healthy, crispy snack made from thinly sliced apples, lightly spiced with cinnamon and air fried for a satisfying crunch. They’re a perfect alternative to store-bought chips and can be customized with various spices for added flavor.


Ingredients

12 apples (you can only air fry one at a time)

Coconut oil spray

Cinnamon (to taste)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Wash the apples and slice them into very thin rounds. Remove the core if preferred, or leave it in for extra texture.
  3. Lightly spray the apple slices with coconut oil on both sides, then sprinkle with cinnamon to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in a single, even layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring minimal overlap. Air fry for 12 minutes, then flip and air fry for another 10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove the apple chips from the air fryer and place them on a plate. Let them cool for 1-2 minutes. The chips will crisp up further as they cool.
  6. Enjoy the apple chips immediately, or prepare another batch.

  • Spicy Apple Chips: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder for a spicy kick.
  • Sweet Apple Chips: For a sweeter taste, sprinkle a little sugar or maple syrup before air frying.
