Description
These 3 Ingredient Banana Brownies are a simple, healthy twist on traditional brownies, combining ripe bananas, peanut or almond butter, and cocoa powder for a naturally sweet and fudgy treat. Perfect for a quick snack or dessert, they require minimal ingredients and effort, baking into moist, chocolatey squares that can be ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Brownie Batter
- 3 Medium Ripe Bananas (roughly 1.5 cups mashed)
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
Instructions
- Blend Or Mash Bananas: Start by heating your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a square baking pan with parchment paper and set aside. Place the bananas in a large mixing bowl and mash them thoroughly until smooth. For an even finer texture, blend the bananas in a blender or food processor, which is highly recommended for best results.
- Add Ingredients: Add the peanut or almond butter and cocoa powder to the mashed bananas.
- Mix Ingredients: Stir well until all ingredients are fully combined into a smooth batter. The batter will be thick; optionally, fold in chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
- Pour into Baking Dish: Transfer the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish, using a spatula to spread it flat.
- Bake: Bake for 18-25 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Cool the brownies in the pan for about 10 minutes before cutting into 9 even squares.
Notes
- For a smoother batter, blend the bananas rather than just mashing.
- You can use either peanut butter or almond butter based on your preference or dietary needs.
- Adding chocolate chips is optional but adds a nice texture and extra chocolate flavor.
- Make sure bananas are very ripe for natural sweetness and better texture.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate to keep them fresh longer.
